Johnson City Small Art Galleries

The Small Art Gallery is a public art project. Artists from emerging to student to professional are welcome to create exhibitions for the public.

The Small Art Galleries offer rotating exhibitions in King Commons Park at the Atlantic Ale House and on the Walnut Corridor at Crumb Bakehop, central areas in Johnson City, TN. These popular locations create the potential for thousands of visitors to see the exhibitions.

Artists create an exhibition of their choice. The only restriction is the galleries' size–-each measuring approximately 20” x 20” x 20”. Participation is free.

To date, the galleries have hosted over 30 artists. Additionally, partnerships with area professors have provided students with exhibition opportunities.

The galleries are privately funded and supported by volunteers. If you are interested in participating, contact Sarah Nobles through this website's contact page.

Small Art Gallery at Atlantic Ale House is located at 111 McClure Street in Johnson City.

Small Art Gallery at Crumb Bakeshop is located at 500 West Walnut Street in Johnson City.
